FOSTERING

Foster families are a very important part of rescues. By taking in a foster pet you make room for the rescue to save more animals, you help socialize a pet and show them what it's like to be loved, and you are able to find out all about their personalities so they can be matched with the best possible adopter.

A lot of people worry that they will become too attached if they foster an animal. And while that does happen (I'm a "foster failure" myself) it is possible to learn to love wholly without giving your whole heart. Though if you ever have a foster that you want to adopt you will have to fill out an adoption application and go through the process like any other potential adopter.

You will not have to pay for anything for your foster animal. Food, dishes, kennel, bedding, and anything that the animal needs will be provided while you are caring for him or her.

Trailhead Ranch Rescue takes in a variety of animals. If you are interested in fostering please contact us at trailheadranchrrs@gmail.com and we will send you a foster application or you can find an application on our forms page.

Volunteering

Currently everyone at Trailhead Ranch Rescue is a volunteer. There are no paid positions. We can use volunteers to pick up animals and donations, do home inspections of potential adopters, exercise animals, socialize animals, help with training (no previous training experience required we will provide it!), assist with paperwork, and more! If you are interested in helping please contact us at trailheadranchrrs@gmail.com and we will send you a volunteer application or you can find an application on our forms page.
